Error while importing videos (1 Viewer)

I'm trying to import several videos into MP. But it appears to be stalled (it is retreiving possible matches for one movie for very long time).

Possible matches list is empty for all movies (even if says 5/11 at the bottom - 4 movies should already have some results) and when I press rescan or add as blank buttons, I get an error.

Any idea what could be wrong?

Without logs, it would be a wild guess...

If 1 movie seems to 'stall' the rest, double check that file (or remove it for now) and see if that helps.
If not -> Logs are needed

It looks like your noise filter somehow got deleted. Go into advanced settings and try resetting it (the default value is below).

    Code:
    (([\(\{\[]|\b)((576|720|1080)[pi]|dir(ectors )?cut|dvd([r59]|rip|scr(eener)?)|(avc)?hd|wmv|ntsc|pal|mpeg|dsr|r[1-5]|bd[59]|dts|ac3|blu(-)?ray|[hp]dtv|stv|hddvd|xvid|divx|x264|dxva|(?-i)FEST[Ii]VAL|L[iI]M[iI]TED|[WF]S|PROPER|REPACK|RER[Ii]P|REAL|RETA[Ii]L|EXTENDED|REMASTERED|UNRATED|CHRONO|THEATR[Ii]CAL|DC|SE|UNCUT|[Ii]NTERNAL|[DS]UBBED)([\]\)\}]|\b)(-[^\s]+$)?)

    Sorry for (really) late post.

This is how my window looks

Maybe best thing would be reinstalling it completely? Are my movies safe if I just backup movingpictures.db3 or do I have to backup anything else?

Yeah, i'd suggest a re-install. Download link here

Indeed safest to backup the .db3 file first, but normally you should be good by only re-installing the plugin. It doesn't touch the dB.

I already reinstalled it and it did not help. I asked, because I want to wipe it. Which files should I delete to reset everything but films?

all settings are stored in your .db3 file, so if you remove it and open the plugin, a new .db3 file will be 'created', you'll have to redo all your settings and do a complete re-scan of your movies. If you haven't build a big database yet, and you haven't manually edited many movies, this could be the easiest way. If you don't wanna lose your current database...

There is another way (bit more complex) but i'll explain:
    1. Download the SQLite Database Browser
    2. Start it and open your .db3 file
    3. on top, select tab 'Browse Data'
    4. Then in the pulldown menu select 'Settings'
    5. the Noise filter is on the 2nd line (importer_filter)
    6. Replace the value with the above noise filter

Hope that helps. (again, best to keep a back-up of the .db3 file) ;)
