Establishing watched history (1 Viewer)

So I'm a newcomer from SageTV for many years. I have several (about 100) series that I have set up to record every time on every channel. My first question is whether episodes that have already been marked as watched would be recorded again? Secondly, is there an easy way to look at recordings scheduled to happen and mark the episodes I watched before switching to MP as watched and prevent them from being recorded again?

4TheRecord can do that in its console, do not think the standard MP recording logic allows this currently.

I would like to use that, but four of my tuners are Hauppauge Colossus capture cards and as far as I can tell $therecord doesn't support them.

After doing more research it looks like I can set up the tuners in MP and have FTR manage the recordings. Is that correct?
