Exit MP and Start Secound APP (1 Viewer)

I am looking for a clean way to exit MP and start another program.

What I would like to do is have a menu item that you can click with the remote that would close mediaportal and launch game ex. I have been playing with game ex recently and I am really impressed with how it handles mame games. i.e. I can put in coins, press start buttons and exit mame all with my mce remote.

What I am thinking is, some command line that will shut down mediaportal that I can put in a .bat script then it would launch game ex.

I can then set game ex to launch mediaportal when it closes.

I think I can use the easyapps plugin or the mulit shourt cut plugin it to launch it. But I am unsure how to close mediaprotal with a command line (or external app???).


Any help would be great.
