Hello.
I have a MP server and two clients, all with ok horsepower, all XP.
The problem is sometimes the clients sometime stops responding in Explorer. Mouse is moving and ping to the server works. After half a minute or so, it continues as nothing happend.
The error usually shows when I have been watching 2/3 of a one hour tv show. I think it is more with x264, but also with normal xvids. When the problem comes it returns some times, also after quit MP.
I get Delayed write fail, because I have the TV series database on the server.
On the server there is a new Asus mobo and only a Twinhan 3030 dvb CI extension card.
I have not had the opportunity to check the CPU load when I have the error.
The sad thing is that there are no entrys in windows event log on either pc.
I am planning to test without the tv card, to rule out those drivers.
I have all the latest drivers for chipsets, gfx and network cards...
I thougt I fixed it by using dial-a-fix, Advanced windowscare and update AVG free to 8, but the problem returned.
It is of course not very repeatable since it some time takes an hour or so for it to happen and by then I am to tired or to much into the movie or race or what I am watching.
I will put process explorer in autostart so it always run, then maybe I get some more clues myself.
TV works fine.
Someone that has some clues or hints?
