Hi,
I want to be able to export my movie database into a program (preferably Excel) so i can monitor and print off a list of my movies on my HTPC. The end result being that i can scan down the list and check for instance which movies are in high definition, which are in two files, which ones i need to rip at a better quality and so on. With excel i could make notes and mark the movies i need nice and easliy.
I have read Slick's guide on getting a nicely formatted MP movie list in Excel, but i have very little experience in SQL and i am finding it difficult to add a new odbc system datasource. It doesnt go into enough depth for a new user like me with little experience in this sort of thing.
here is his topic: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/tips-tricks-52/how-get-nice-formated-mp-movie-list-excel-2569/
Can someone help me in finding a way to export the data and allow us to view the media we hold in our database without using SQLite Database Browswer (which is quite frankly confusing me!!).
I have exported both CSV and SQL files from the browser but when i import them into either Excel or Notepad they have no structure and cannot be used for my need mentioned above.
If someone could help me or offer me guidance i would be very grateful.. I have been trawling through VB & SQL sites on the internet but have trouble utilising the information as regards media portal.
Thank you
Paul
