Exporting MP configuration? (1 Viewer)

I'm developing/configuring my MP install on my desktop PC. After I've completed the config I will be building a Mini-ITX box to act as my lounge set-top box. I don't want to rebuild all the databases and config again on the ITX box.

If I install a base install of MP onto the ITX box, can I just copy my configured install of MP from the desktop PC to the ITX box? Assume that it is drive C: on both installs.

Does MP use the registry for any config data?

Or is all config stored in databases in the "Team MediaPortal2 directories?

Ughhh. do you mean Vista - Program Data\Teammediaportal\mediaportal, where the xml files are.

    This is for XP

If the Two Installs are identical you should be ok, once MP identical version installed on both pcs, you could copy over the whole MP folder and overwrite the other, all config will transfer over, any db problems, maybe recorded TV not available, just delete TVdb and start over.

This is working on the fact that MyTV is not being used with different TVCards, ok if using TVE3 which would have to done manually after MP install completed.

Personally have had path issues with Vista, so would not recommend it, I know it is all being corrected for MP 0.2.3.0 final

    Regards
