Hi disaster.

I tested your release, because it has the newest core.dll in it. Works perfect in movingpictures and dxva I have to say! And video playback over network (NAS) is faster indeed! Sweet! Thank you for that.
I did however notice ffdshow icons in the tray again, after closing MP. If I recall correctly, this used to be an old bug, but fixed a wile time ago.
Am I the only one noticing this? If so, I probably messed things up here (agaaaain).. If im not the only one, ill post logs.

Im using SAF 4.0 final unlocked
xp + sp3

mhm i've nothing changed regarding this. Also if i remember correctly i do not see this under Win 7. So there two options:
1.) it isn't a bug
2.) it is a new bug in RC2

Usually I don't pay attention to custom builds, but I'll make an exception for now

1) start MP in windowed mode
2) play a video
3) stop playback
4) hover mouse cursor over ffdshow icon in systray

does the icon go away?

Yes. But this is not in windowed mode. Ill try in windows mode this afternoon.

Is it possible to update the "disaster Edition" to a "original RC2"?
If not, how can i roll back the Disaster Update to RC1 in order to update to RC2?

Im sorry for causing you worries for nothing. It turns out I am not able to reproduce the icons in the tray anymore. Could be a reboot did the trick. What ever I try now with what ever file, it plays and stops normal in full screen mode. No tray Icons stay after I close MP. When I did see the tray icons previously, the behaviour was exactly like before the core.dll was patched by manfred. I could even reproduce it a couple of times. But not anymore ofcourse.
Now, If I try to play any file in windowed mode, I see nothing at all. Just a black screen and have to alt-f4 out of MP. This seems not to work correctly in XP/vmr9. Atleast it never has for me. But I dont considder this a problem as I always use full screen MP.

So again, Sorry for making a scene. I cant reproduce the problem. :sorry: And Im happy nothing IS wrong ofcourse
