External ir transmitters on mce reciever (1 Viewer)

Hi. I have a question.
I know that it is possible to get MP to change channels on a set top box. But is it possible to use the 2 extra ir transmitters for other commands? It would be nice if I could get the one of it to turn my ampfilifer on/off with mediaportal and allso use it as external volume control. (I am aware the I can program the mce remote to do this, but my ampfilifer is out off reach of the remote)

There are many solutions. If you're using MediaPortal by itself (without TV Server) then a good place to start is probably the MCE Replacement Plugin.

If you're using TV Server then move up to the IR Server Suite. It has plugins to integrate with both the MediaPortal client and the TV Server.

You can also try some of the 3rd party applications out there like HIP, Girder and EventGhost.
