I'm new to IRSS, but I think I have it all setup correctly, working with NextPVR and my USBUIRT, but running into one issue. When the IRBlaster sends "0" I get mulple 0's sent - usually two. I've tried to relearn the keys again and again, but same result. It only happens with zero! It's a Verizon FIOS remote. Anyone give me some ideas on where to look first?

Well, it looks like it's not just the zero's. I'm seeing similar action with a few other characters, but zero's are the worst. I went to the remotecentral site, copied the code for "0" and put it into my 0.ir file and it does the same thing. I get duplicates.

    Hello and welcome Padre :)

If you want help then you're going to need to post your IRSS log files.

Before doing that, please make sure you're using the latest release of IRSS. I recommend you use the latest "test" version from here (rather than the latest official release):
    https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...-unoficial-testing-version-no-support.119847/

If you use a "test" version, make sure you set the log level to debug. Otherwise when you post log files there'll be nothing to see in them.

    Regards,
    mm

I've installed v1.5.0.99 and tried again, same result. Doing a "irblast -channel 600 -delay 500 -host localhost" got me a "6000" on the STB. I've attached the log files.

As far as I can see IRSS is only intending to blast 3 digits. From the log files:
    2015-11-03 08:40:37.270042 [Info.][1]: Processing channel: 600

2015-11-03 08:40:37.270042 [Debug][GenericPCQueue]: Server message received: BlastIR, Request, ForceNotRespond
    2015-11-03 08:40:37.270042 [Info.][GenericPCQueue]: Blast IR
2015-11-03 08:40:37.848168 [Debug][GenericPCQueue]: Server message received: BlastIR, Request, ForceNotRespond
    2015-11-03 08:40:37.848168 [Info.][GenericPCQueue]: Blast IR
2015-11-03 08:40:38.363795 [Debug][GenericPCQueue]: Server message received: BlastIR, Request, ForceNotRespond
    2015-11-03 08:40:38.363795 [Info.][GenericPCQueue]: Blast IR

So, if your STB is receiving "6000" something is clearly wrong somewhere.

The sorts of questions that spring to mind are:
    • Are you sure the commands have been learnt correctly?
    • How close is the blaster's IR emitter to the STB's IR receiver?
    • Could the problem be caused by IR interference?
    • What settings have you set in IR Server Configuration for the USB-UIRT? (In particular: IR blast repeat count.)
    • Are there any timing settings in N-PVR that can be modified?

P.S. The log files don't include logging for the IRSS USB-UIRT plugin/handler. That surprises me. My understanding is/was that IRSS has a separate detailed log file for each plugin/handler. Can you please see if you can find that detailed log file.

Okay, it looks like the problem has been resolved. I reduced the IR blast repeat count down to 2 (from the default of 3) and it's working perfectly now. Thanks for the suggestion!
