Another newbie, another day.

I've just installed MediaPortal 1.0 with the TV Server. Following some problems with SQL Server I reinstalled with MySQL and then again with the internal MediaPortal TV thingamabob.

Consequently I don't know where my TV is coming from (and neither does MP..)

I get the following error:

Unable To Start Timeshifting
Failed to locate Audio / Video

(or similar)
This is the message I've had since installing MySQL btw.

TVServer finds TV channels OK

If I go into TV Server configuration / Manual Control / Start Timeshift I get a message box
No Video/Audio detected

Attached are the contents of my TVServer Log directory

My system is a Pentium 4 2Ghz 768Mb Intel Mobo NVidia Ge440Mx 64Mb gfx Hauppage 1100 PCI tv card XP Sp2

More info on request. It's looking good. I just need it make it work :)

Oh and I updated that crappy DLL

Cheers all, Si

Hi,

Are you sure you don't have SP3 for WinXP? In the log file I found information that you have. If not WinXP SP3 Install SP3 for WinXP and don't forget to install DVB Fix again!
NVidia GE440Mx support only DirectX 8.1. For MP1 you need directX 9 Version. Change your graphic card to eg. NVidia 6200 or (better) Radeon HD 2400.
With Radeon graphic card you can watch also blu-ray movies (if you install blue-ray player and more RAM).
Did you installed the latest DBA driver for your Hauppage TV Card?

I hope it's help a little bit.

Wojtek
