Fanart Handler v2.2.2 (Beta) - FOR SKINNERS ONLY!!! (2 Viewers)

Hi,

It is time for a new Fanart Handler Beta. THIS BETA IS ONLY FOR SKINNERS. If end users install this beta and your skin does not support this new version all fanart handling will stop working. The plugin has undergone alot of changes to make it MP 1.2 compatible. MP 1.2 contains for example a new great feature for the myVideo plugin. The new feature allows MP to scrape movie fanart for movies handled by the myVideos plugin. This and a few other things has forced me to change the folder structure for the FanartHandler fanarts. More on this below. I'm sorry that this require you to make some skin changes but this was the only way for me to support MP 1.2 and in the same time make the plugin more future proof.

So to give you skinners a change to catch up and align your skins to the new changes I have decided to release this Beta. I'm planning to release the new version in a few weeks but will let you know the release date well before so that you have time to make adjustments to your skins.

Important
Please backup your "Thumbs\Skin FanArt" folder and your fanarthandler.db3 database before installing this Beta. The first time you run MP after installing this Beta your folder structure will be migrated and the database also.

• Now playing scrape improved for multiple artists
• Scraping for new images improved
• Latest added TVrecordings used low quality thumb, now uses high quality thumb
• Sometimes low quality artist or album thumb was incorrectly used instead of high quality fanart
• Improved music fanart matching in myMusic plugin - shared view
• You can now click on Latest music, moving picture and tvseries and start playback from basichome
• The folder structure of this plugin has changed. Skin Fanart has got two subfolders called Scraper and UserDef. More about this below.
• New property for (#fanarthandler.tvseries.latest1.serieThumb, #fanarthandler.tvseries.latest2.serieThumb and #fanarthandler.tvseries.latest3.serieThumb)

Hi!

I'm testing the new version of your fantastic plugin. Everything is working fine and i like the new features, expecially the "Latest Added Media Tags" ones.
The only thing that i think is missing is a tag to display the full path to music fanart (not thumb), for example "#fanarthandler.music.latest1.fanart".

What do you think about it?

EDIT: Is it also possible to add the channel info to the Recently added recordings tags, such as: #fanarthandler.tvrecordings.latest1.channel ?

Hi!

I've found that "#fanarthandler.tvseries.latest1.dateAdded" does not work and gives "FiledateAdded" instead of the actual date.
Also "#fanarthandler.movingpicture.latest1.year" does not work and it gives a blank string.

Thanks for your comments. I will add the fanart tag for music and I have fixed the year property. But what date do you mean I should show instead of file date added for TVSeries?

Hi cul8er.

I've noticed that using selected fanart often produces black backgrounds. There are no errors in the log, just on some screens here (for example OnlineVideos the background is usually totally black). Same happens in myVideos sometimes. I have no fanart in Scraper folder.
