THANKS FOR THE RESPONSE EVERYONE ...

PROBLEM RESOLVED ..

I have resolved the problem and it appears to be my finger trouble ...
I have been using EvenGhost and had some experimental plugins installed in EG ..
Removing the uneeded plugins from EG has resolved the problem for me .....

I don't understand the connection between a mouse click on the screen topbar [ Click on FF ] ...
And EG and the remote control but it seems to be fine now ...

I responded earlier with this post, but it seems to have dissapeared .. !!

The attached shows the Plugins that I disabled in EG to resolve the problem ...

Many thanks to everyone who helped on this one ...
My apologies, the fault seems to be mine and Not MP .......

EG actually hooks into the system for various input/output operations. Depending on how it configured it might be that some messages never reached MP again after one action was issues. Note that such events can also be application events EG handles that never make it into the message process of an application once they are in EG.

Hi, I'm seeing the Fast Forward Freeze problem as well on my setup. When I press the ff button it mostly freezes right at 2x, sometimes I can get as far as 8x, but it eventually seems to freeze the frame and locks up MP to the point where I have to cancel the task with task manager. I'm not using Event Ghost. If it's a codec issue, I could use some direction. Those things blow my mind. Thise is a fresh MP 1.3a install. Log attached. Oh btw ... this skip button works fine. This is consistently reproducible for me.
I appreciate all your work on this.

Can you try the attached TsReader.ax please - it should fix the problem (just unzip it and drop it into C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal)

I've also got the issue when using fast forward MP crashes resulting in me having to use task manager to kill the process. I've tried the fix above and it does work providing I don't go any faster than x4 anything faster than that cause's MP to crash. The MP version I'm using is 1.30 Alpha with a clean install of windows 7 pro 64bit, I never had this problem when using MP 1.2.3. I am new to MP as I've been using Windows MC7 and at the moment I've got MP running on my test machine and are trying to get everything working before I make the swap over. So far I'm very impressed with MP but any help would be great? This problem happens in live TV when using timeshift and viewing recorded TV

    Hi Tony

the fix works great thank you very much, I've tried both live and recorded TV using the fast forward and rewind feature at all speeds and haven't had MP crash as of yet. I'm going to give it a good run over the weekend but the fix looks the goods. Just for future reference when I do to set this up on my HTPC will I need to make sure that I copy the TsReader file after the 1.30 Alpha install? Once again thanks heaps for your quick response.
