If I record something and I switch then to a channel on an other transponder, then I takes a time for starting up the second card (even with preload cards). I tested this week the "for the record" argus tuner and it haven't this effect and I found how it comes. I will explain the difference between the 2 tv servers.
mediaportal tv server:
- I'm watching channel A: Tuner1 is used.
- Then I start recording channel A: Tuner 1 is used.
- Then I switch to channel B on a different mux (transponder):Tuner 2 is used for live tv and tuner 1 for recording channel A.
-------->The live tv stream switched from tuner 1 to tuner 2 (this takes time).
for the record argus tuner:
- I'm watching channel A: Tuner1 is used.
- Then I start recording channel A: Tuner 1 is used for live tv and tuner 2 for recording channel A.
- Then I switch to channel B on a different mux (transponder):Tuner 1 is used for live tv and tuner 2 for recording channel A.
-------->The live tv stream keeps on the same tuner (fast channel switching).
When there isn't a free tuner available for recording, tuner 1 (live tv tuner) can be used.
