I installed MP 1.1 from a new W7 64bits installation (hard disk was new) few weeks ago.
Today I updated to MP 1.1.1 and everything seems to be ok (just closed MP and start installation). But when starting MP configuration, an error was displayed:
TvPlugin and Mediaportal don't have the same version. Please update the older component to the same version as the newer one.
MpConfig Version: 1.1.1.0
TvPlugin Version: 1.1.0.0

This have been happening since some RCs, for instance:

The problem seems the same: "Unable to stop TVService (error 3)" (uninstall log).
So there are two issues:
  1. Why the TVService cannot be stopped?
  2. Why the installation cointinues even the TVService is still running?

I don't know why the service cannot be stopped, but if this occurs, MP installer should double check if the TVService is stopped or not. If it is not stopped, the installer should not continue with the installation, providing an error message to manually stop the service, or change the installation to substitute the service in the next PC reboot.

Running the installer again does not detect that TVServer 1.1.0 is still installed and it not offer the update option.
The TVServer uninstall seems to success in stopping the TVService. So uninstalling TVServer 1.1.0 and installing MP again will install TV Server 1.1.1.

Logs are attached.

Thanks
