Htpc and windows usage generate lot of temporary files like logs, dumps and other junk files that make diminish free space and so stability...

Which are your solutions to cleanup disk easily with mediaportal ?

when MP makes a log ...and it makes lots of dirrent logs....it saves it a a .log....then the next "run" of Mediaportal it converts those .logs to .old

if there was a .old beforehand ..it is deleted

i have a 500gb hdd and theres always more than 100gb free so i dont really see a problem

timeshift files are simply deleted when a "new" timeshift file begins...so theres no worry there

perhaps a defrag might be in order ....but u can usually get away without needing to defrag on modern PC's

My timeshift files are in another partition.
Mediaportal is on my primary partition so with the OS.
But it's not really a mediaportal issue. It's especially windows system who generate junks files with the time...
And it's not easy to clean files with htpc without mouse/keyboard and say to familly how use VNC. lol

Or maybe we need a Scheduled task ?
Is there someone that can make a batch file who execute a maintenance job of the Disk cleanup tools included in windows ?
