Recordings in MP can only be programmed if EPG-data are available.
There are some channels like radio-webstreams or analog FM-/TV-stations where there is no web-epg grabber and thus no EPG-data.
So there is no possibility to program a recording with these channels.

If there would be an option to program a recording simply by setting a start- and an end-time (or start-time and duration) that would make recordings for these non-EPG stations possibly.

I personally still have to record some programs (e.g. BFBS- oder BBC1-radio) outside of MP because I can't find a way to record them inside of MP.

If you go to the screen where recorded programs appear, you have a contextual menu by going to the right with the arrows of your remote or keyboard in StreamedMP. I don't know if in PureVisionHD 16:9 would be the same...
With the original skin here and here is explained.

Your advice partly has solved my problem. THX for the hint.

Via "planned schedules/recordings" --> "new schedule" it is indeed possible to plan a (single or repeated) schedule even for a tv-program without EPG-data.

But...

This still is not possible for radio-programs (no matter if web-stream, analog or digital) without EPG-data.
With the above method You can only select TV-channels.

Going the other way by trying to plan a schedule via the radio-EPG I still can't create a schedule for a radio-program without EPG-data :-(((

Or am I overlooking something?

I'm not at home, so i can't test it. Usually i don't listen to the radio with Mediaportal, so i have not tested it. Reading the info about this in the wiki we can see that you can record radio, but i don't know if only with EPG data added or without it would be possible. The page dedicated for this info (recording radio) is empty
