I understand there was a plugin available some time ago but during codec issues it was removed - well - anyway - would be great to have a option to crop recorded TV in an easy way to remove overtime at the start and end ...

It's a little strange to have a powerful setup like MP and not something basic as this.

I would love this too.
A cool solution would be to use the standard bookmark functionality to cut the video in parts.

Sadly again no Dev is interested in the inbuilt video editor, which I would also like to see added back fully functional.

yes, hes working on a compatible version for 1.2 just ask him to translate it! (But it seems that most of it is translated? )
