But I felt I needed to respond to a false comment. It isn't as simple as Agree suggested.

I dont develop anything in that direction. And i never made plugin support for using CAM-Emulation. The pluginin support was only for teletext and epg plugins, but as they are not needed i dont see a need for plugins at all.

If anyone like to code support for that its fine with me. If not, well, its ok too.

Very disapointing, because from now on it is impossible to watch paytv at all, even with a legal subscription.

Well that's where coding support for the DLL comes in. If users wish to install and use it with their paid subscriptions they can. And others without legal subscriptions (or in areas where using such a DLL is illegal) shouldn't. But that's also where the holy war comes into play and people tend to disagree.

However, I started this thread to get a ruling from Frodo and Agree (as master DVB guru) and not start another monster thread like the SoftCSA one. Agree has stated his position, waiting for Frodo to return to hear his.

I don't know why MP is not like most of other's DVB Players: who need the use of the mdplugin just copy it into the folder and the software support the DLL, it's not need the option in configuration! Who need use it and if not just don't use!
Here MP is not so flexible and loose some good and important point's as other sotftware like Alt-DVB, ProgDVB...

    guys,
we have had a letter from a lawyer once allready and that is enough.
We thought we read the small print in a license file good enough, but apparently we didn't.
Things like if CSA is or isn't legal is debatable. As long as this is the case there will be no support from the current devs on board making the releases.

There are perfect solutions for watching payTV using a tv card with a CI slot. Go use that. If that cannot be done, MP is no solution for you in the TV area.
