Got a shiny new HTPC this Friday, have been working with it all weekend, I have most stuff working but something is off with FFDShow and it's driving me nuts ... can't figure it out ...
I've gotten Mediaportal up and running and can play video files fine. Under "Codecs and Renderer" I'm using ffdshow Video Decoder.
Now I want to play with filters so that I can improve upscaling and de-blocking. I go into the video decoder config x64 and drag Postprocessing and Resize & Aspect to the top. No matter what I put in these boxes it has no effect on playback in Mediaportal. For example, under Resize I tried "Specify Horizontal and Vertical size" and settings X / Y to 300, 300 which should make the picture tiny right? No, it has no effect at all. It's like the filters are being completely ignored.

I was able to add ffdshow raw video filter to the list of post-processing filters, however when I hit Propertys it says error "This filter has no property page!".
So clearly there's something wrong with my ffdshow install. I've tried uninstalling it, re-installing it, but it didn't help. I also tried un-installing it, rebooting, and re-installing, no luck there either.
Any ideas? I'm pretty close to being happy with my setup but the lack of ability to use filters is quite frustrating.
