This is related to mpeg2 transport streams
While the Audio & Video decoding filters are important for image quality. The file source (reads and identifies the 2 or more channels mutliplexed together) and the demuxer (which splits them apart) and feeds them to the decoders, if these dont work you can't seek properly, have bad audio sync or can even not be able to play at all.
Zoomplayer has this licked. But i find my self wanting a bit more from my frontend these days and I think mediaportal's got it. The option to choose your source and demuxer along with the a/v decoders seems relatively easy to implement.
Personally I have found nero's file source/splitter (nefsource.ax source & demux in one) to be the most robust and would really like to use it for transport streams.
