Filmstrip animations no very smooth or appealing (1 Viewer)

Hi

For some time I have experienced that the filmstrip view isn't animating very nice, ie when you use the left/right arrows really fast the thumb and the frame overlay isn't animating in sync...I see this on both 1.0.2, 1.1.0 Alpha and on XP vs. Windows 7.

Are others seeing the same?

Look at the "Watchmen" movie to the right on the screenshot...

This is the same in all skins, and in Moving Pictures I addionally have like a double animation when switching between movies, but here it is only the overlay + the text below the poster that jumps. The poster itselft doesn't illbehave.

The endresult is that I rarely use the filmstripview, to be honest I find it quite bad for the eye

Same here,

first I thought this was a result of my pc being too slow but now my htpc runs on a DualCore with 3GHz and 4 Gigs of RAM, which should be more than enough for a smooth MP Usage....

I´ve the same problem. But i´ve noticed that it´s smoother if there is no fanart on the background...

I even experience this problem when scrolling really slow.

btw is there a way to change the scrolling speed? I want it more smooth.

I have noticed that lowering the itemheight value slows down the scrolling speed for some reason. Try and see if it works for you.

I know its a long time since you posted this question, but if you havn't resolved it, try this:-
I had exactly the same problem, but reading through the forums I found this answer.
Start MP in a window on the desktop, then open Task Manager.
Under the Processes Tab, find the entry for Media Portal exe. then right click with mouse and go to Set Priority.
Set priority to High.
This worked perfectly for me, hope it does for you.
