frenzy, I actually do have a case fan in my HTPC case, it's situated on the right. My CPU cooler is huge, it's a Cooler Master GeminII, and the fan is next to it, so all of the hot air gets sucked out of the case. The casefan is a CoolerMaster ultra silent 120mm fan. It doesn't run extremely hot, my idle temps are around 30 - 35 degrees celcius. Stressed temperatures are around 40 - 45 degrees. So, not really a problem :). Let's say that I'm really happy with it :D.

craigparris1, I couldn't get a drive with a silver front, they're all black or a sort of creamy white. This one came with a changeable front panel. Black or some creamy white..... I kept the black one on the drive :D. I know, it kinda looks awkward. But, you can't have it all, can we? :). Maybe, in the future, I'll get myself a Antec Fusion.....:p The 250 gb harddrive is enough for me, because I delete most of the recordings If I watched them, and I record not that much. Most of the stuff I want to keep is being put on my Linux SMB server.

These temps are fine for the cpu. What about the system ambient temps?

Plasma Dan, My CPU cooler in my HTPC is huge, I know, I wanted silent cooling, and that's what I got! It fits in my case and that's what counts... And it keeps my AMD nicely cool, indeed. Only building my machine was a bit awkward, because I had to screw the damn thing on before I could put the mainboard in the case.

Little update here, I've changed some hardware things on the setup of my HTPC. I've replaced my power supply for a more silent one, it's got a nice 120 mm fan at very low rpm, it's a Recom 550 watt PSU, reasonable PSU fot it's price and quite silent, I have to put my ear on my HTPC to hear it..... And I've swapped the LG DVD writer for a Samsung DVD writer, much better. The LG made a lot of noise when playing a CD or a DVD, the Samsung is almost inaudible at this, that's what I like. I can definitely recommend the Samsung SH-S223F!
