Hi

In order to get RC2 TV working I have to disable XP firewall during installation and after installation.

RC1 ran fine with 4 firewall exceptions for

MP
MP TVServer
MS SQL (TCP)
MS SQL (UDP)

These excpetions remain but presumably RC2 needs different settings?

What additional settings are required for RC2?

Strange, suggest custom install where you can select to not configure firewall if it is turned off.

XP\Vista firewall has a habit of suddenly not adding programs to exceptions (nice little box telling you to allow\deny) which stops appearing for whatever reason :(

Are RC2 firewall settings different from RC1 settings?

If so, what settings should I manually apply to fix this issue?

    Really struggling here.

I have reread the info re firewall in the wiki.

MP RC2 installation had not correctly configured my XP firewall (if the wiki is correct).

I have added exceptions for the SQL server. These were missing.

from the wiki: Note: a smaller range of UDP ports can usually be used (typically 6970-6999).

Do I really have to manually add 29 of UDP ports for the TV Sever?

    Is the wiki correct?

I dont remember my previous firewall settings having 29 UDP port exceptions for the TV server for RC1 and it seemed to work.
