    Hi all,

I just tried out MPTagThat and was surpised to find it using 1,4GB of RAM after scanning my MP3 collection. MP3Tag uses ~80MB after the same operation. So I suppose either I did something wrong or there might still be room for some optimization of MPTagThat.

    Cheers, DiePlage

What do you mean by "scanning my MP3 Collection"?
Have you marked a folder and told MPTT to read all subfolders?

If this is the case, then this is a known issue.

I am planning a restructuring of the code, and this will then use a lot less memory.
But this is time consuming and needs a lot of testing.

That's exactly what I did. After that I opened just a single directory and your program worked well.
    I'll keep testing it!

    Cheers!

I also noticed that MPTT often appears as not responding ("keine Rückmeldung"), is that due to my system or is it also due to MPTT'S structure?

Ripping a CD. Most time it is ok, but for example when it starts to rip a track it slows down the system for a short time and appears as not responding and then it ok again. I had it even totally srewing up my system when it was ripping a very scratchy CD and blocked my DVD drive so it wasn't opening and I had to wait till it finished ripping - which took about an hour. Since it was not responding all the time I wasn't even able to stop ripping. Tried that on two machines and had the same experience.
