First movie never selected on startup, shortcut keys don't work (1 Viewer)

Couple of annoyances/problems I'm trying to work around.

First of all, for some reason, every time I load Moving Pictures a specific movie ("The Empire Strikes Back") is always selected. This is not the first movie in the list, in fact, it's about 75% down the list. Adding new movies above or below it has never changed this being the starting movie... doesn't make any sense, and I don't see any way to change it.

The other issue is that I can't seem to get the "quick entry" system to work with my remote, i.e. pressing a few keys to jump to an area of the movie list. I have a standard Windows Mediacenter compatible remote setup as such in MediaPortal. I also can't type a few letters on my keyboard to jump to a part of the movie list... so I'm forced to scroll from "Empire Strikes Back" up or down until I reach the movie I actually want.

Any ideas about why this is happening and how to resolve it?

Thanks.

In answer to your first question, this is a known bug. The movie that it highlights is always the first one you added using Moving Pictures, hopefully it'll be fixed in version 0.7.

Yes, the initially selected movie problem has already been resolved in our 0.7 base line, so this will be fixed with the next major release.

As for the remote stuff not working, your remote number buttons need to be mapped to the numeric keys on the keyboard. For example clicking "1" on the remote in a text box should be the same as pressing the "1" key on your keyboard. If your remote is configured in this way you should have no problems.

As for typing a movie title on the keyboard this is something we would really like to implement and have talked about before, but this would unfortunately interfere with standard key-maping in MediaPortal as defined in the config screen. For example the P button is mapped to the play action, and the B button is mapped to the stop action. In the future we will probably implement a proper search function though, you will most likely just have to click a button first.

Now if you could make it so that it always displays the LAST (latest) movie added, then that would tide things over until the future release that introduces sorted movies. That way, I could find the latest movie added to my collection instantly. Much better than it displaying the first movie....

    hint hint?
