I did a clean install. I uninstalled SQL server 2005 and mediaportal tvserver and client 1.0 RC4.

Then i installed Mediaportal tvserver and client 1.0 with SQL 2005. configured it and starter. Everything is ok, but when mediaportal loads, in first screen when all plugins and codecs etc. are loaded it says in left lower corner "mediaportal 1.0 RC2". It should read "mediaportal 1.0".

Then i realized that i didn't make sure that c:\programdata\mediaportal folder was deleted. Do i have to start all over again?

Thanks for replys...

Hi there and welcome on the forums :)

I am not using Vista atm, but it may be related to Vista's virtual store.

If there is a MediaPortal directory in there then you can try to delete the contents. Make a backup first, just in case...

Please report back with your findings.
