First time user trying to install.. (1 Viewer)

Hi,
Finally there is support for watching and recording at the same time with one dvb-t tv-card. Now I'm really interested on this..

Ok, first I tried the MediaPortal and it worked quite ok. Now I'm willing to add that tvserver to support simultaneous watching and recording. I get stuck on this client setup. I can't find a view where I can add server information (http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/TV-Engine_0.3/config-Client). There is a mention that go to MyTV, which doesn't tell anything to first time user? Off course everyone who has used it before knows it, but the you cannot expect that the first time user knows. So what is MyTv? There isn't such thing in the application menu? Just "TV" which will give the same view than before installing those server things..

Ok, now I re-installed the svn-version of MediaPortal and I get the view. Now the problem is that I can't connect to server. This kind of error message: "unable to connect to the tvserver connected to database".

PS. I'm using single computer as server and client. Ip-address doesn't work and neither name of the computer

Stop the TVService in task manager, and then restart and see if you can access TVServer settings.

I don't know, how to help you. I'm not using MediaPortal anymore, because of heaviness and unstability. I installed Linux+VDR and that combination rocks
