I wonder why no more people see this issue. My brother i law has the exact same problem. We do have the same motherboard in the server though. Gigabyte 780g chipset motherboard with an onboard gigabit Realtek 8168 nic card.

disaster123
what nic card do you have?

I'm sure this isn't nic related but i have an onboard nvidia nic. Attached you'll find a new TsReader file which you could test. It already includes V2 of the patch AND some mod by me which can probaply solve the issue. Please Test!

    Hi guys,

For my benefit (as I'm stupid), some of you are timeshifting over a network using UNC or locally using a UNC? I didn't think that would even work over the network (due to latency issues).

    Thanks,

    J.

    ***** Patch update *****

I've implemented a variable length buffer that is calculated depending on the bitrate of the tuned channel. This works very well on a single seat, but introduces a channel zapping problem on RTSP streaming. For some reason the audio and video doesn't start maybe 20-30% of the time. Unfortunately I cannot see any obvious reason for this hence I think it will be a difficult problem to fix.

Due to the time required to investigate and fix this problem I don't think I can take this new idea forward. Even though version 2 of the patch is intrusive with the extra methods exposed, it does seem to be working very well on my system. If one of the devs could comment on whether version 2 of the patch is acceptable or not it would be appreciated.

    Mylle,

What OS are you running on?

    Thanks,
