I'm now deleting the registry entry and the shortcut file,
to see if it still works after that.[DOUBLEPOST=1355863265][/DOUBLEPOST]Now restarting pc with receiver plugged in...[DOUBLEPOST=1355863410][/DOUBLEPOST]still works, all that work for nothing...[DOUBLEPOST=1355863566][/DOUBLEPOST]Ah well, the Ir Server.cmd can still be used,
if there comes a time that the service fails to start.
So not a total wast of time this searching for a fix.

Thanks alot for your help [DOUBLEPOST=1355863734][/DOUBLEPOST]the ir server - service, probably detects if the receiver is plugged in,
if it's plugged in then the remote will work
if it's not plugged in, the service has to be restarted after plugging in.
Sound logical if you think about it.
