I've never really used emulators much but after seeing the popularity of this plug-in I thought some retro gaming might make a nice addition to my HTPC.

Anyway.. I've downloaded v3.0.1 of the plugin and have a small collection of Arcade and NES roms. The arcade rom titles in particular are all short and very non-specific (mostly 8 chars or so).. I was wondering if there was a way to update the description in My Emulators without doing them all manually?

I did come across this thread: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/my-emulators-247/updating-description-year-company-48884/ ...but I'm not sure if that information is still current? As I understand, the database file has changed and the plugin now supports XML.

Have you tried using the listxml switch to generate a xml file? enter "mame -listxml > mame.xml" at the command prompt. Not sure if this will output a file that the plugin can parse but if not, maybe the developer could incorporate in a future release.
