Hi Guys, :)

I have some questions about the Floppy-DTV:

- Does the FloppyDTV has a Hardware-MPEG2-Encoder?
- How long does it take to switch to the next channel? (my Twinhan Sat-Express is very slow. :-( )
- What do I need to use the FloppyDTV?
- Can I use the FireWire-Port of my Soublaster Audigy 2 Platinum ex?

Is there a better and cheaper TV-Card with CommonInterface (PayTV)?

Thanks for your Help! :)

Greetings from Nova

Thats not needed since it the floppy DTV grabs digital TV right of the DVB transponder.

    - How long does it take to switch to the next channel? (my Twinhan Sat-Express is very slow. )
Free to air is pretty fast (1-2 secs)
with CI (pay-tv channels) its a bit slower, depending on the CAM
    around 3-4 secs

    - What do I need to use the FloppyDTV?
    PC, FloppyDTV, mediaportal, remote control

    - Can I use the FireWire-Port of my Soublaster Audigy 2 Platinum ex?
    in theory yes

    Hi Frodo,

    Thanks for your answer! :)

But if the FloppyDTV hasn't a hardware-encoder, cost it performance of my CPU or not?

    Thank you. :)

No, there is no further impact on your CPU usage, as DTV is already in MPEG2 format and thus no encoding is required.... :)
