Hi, this is a problem i thought solved, but.....but read first.

THis is my post from the original thread :

"My series files are on NAS, which needs about one - two minutes after system start (htpc system), to be available. By this time, the plugin has already decided that the drive is not available and the plugin is "empty" (well, not really empty, but the files are not displayed), so I have to make a local scan. Everytime. Takes about 10 minutes.

This was first introduced in 0.6 (I guess....). Maybe there is a possibility to make a short delay before scanning for files - maybe even configurable ? Otherwise this is really nasty... ;-)"

After having described the problem in the original thread, nerdshoveler came up with a simple and pretty smart solution, described here : https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/showpost.php?p=103418&postcount=573

    BUT....

When MepdiaPortal starts, it is not focussed, meaning I have to use a mouse and make a single click (i.e. refocuss). That kind of negates the whole remote concept....

So, I´m back at the plugin. What would really be great (and I hope not that much work) would be an option to delay the search or disable it completely (and start it manually from within MP). Any chances ?

Or any clues for the not-focussing problem ?

I have the same issue (list not focused on startup) but I believe it's been introduced by 2.2.x , cause it started to do that out of the blue for me.

In the skins the default focus is supposed to be on the list, yet it doesn't do it. I'll try & see if I can force it via the plugin.

    Edit:
Well, I just rebuilt MP with the latest SVN sources (I assume it's also going to work if you install the latest SVN release) and the focus seems to work as expected again. At least that's on my PC - I'll have to try in the HTPC.

    Edit2:
yes, it also works on the HTPC again. hurray!
