Hi everyone...

Please help me. I have read a few threads, but does not get to the answer on my question.

I have a WD TV Live media player and it works perfectly - The layout, the easiness etc. Except for the fact that it keeps restarting or freezing and so on. So, I'm looking at alternatives and Mediaportal seems to work so far except for one thing... I need to know how to configure it to show the Poster of the movie file as a folder thumbnail. I have added a picture of the setup I currently have and would like it to be the same on media portal. If I can have it like this then I can finally move over to an HTPC setup.

Please help...

The folder.jpg will be shown as folder thumbnail.

what your screenshot show .. in MP call "Genre View" in MP videos ... side menu - change view to Genre. same in music section....
also you have "share view" witch similar to folder view... and regeszter correct put image in movie folder name "folder.jpg" and it will view in mp screen.

If you want to see images of genres or years, then you need to put the corresponding images in the folders ...ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\thumbs\Videos\Genre\ or ...\Years. For example, for "Comedy" genre should be an image comedy.png.
