I'm working on a 1920x1080 skin (just started... don't hold your breath) and I'm already running into problems.
I'm trying to change the look of the date/time. I've changed the entries in the fonts.xml file to point to "Century Gothic", but they don't take. When I punch to go to fullscreen, all the labels then take the correct font, except for time.
Is there some kind of strange font caching going on (like the packedgfx thing?)
Additionally, I can't get the time to show up in the right place. How does posX work on a right aligned label? Does it point to the right side of the box? This is how it appears to work on the date label, but not the time label.
Nevermind. I found it; the cache file moved in Vista 64-bit.
For others who find this post on a search, you need to check MediaPortalDirs.xml to find the cache folder, database folder, etc. in 0.2.3.0.
