Forced Subtitles (1 Viewer)

Somehow the forced subtitles in my MKV files are not shown by default.
As mentioned in the wiki I have the the subtitle mode to "Subtitles will only display forced subtitles *".

The forced subtitles are SRT ones in my MKV files with the forced flag set to ON.

Hmm... I have installed Haali Media Splitter, so I think I am using it also

I'm not sure, but please try lavfsplitter and see if that works. Its a part of SAF6 (the only codec solution you need for playing everything)

There was a bug in the LAV filter which has been corrected in the newest SAF6 regarding the subtitles. It works now as it should be.

OK and I assume you don't want to use it. from my experience Haali just doesn't cut it with subtitles (certainly not 'forced' ones) - get rid.

2 solutions

1: downloand and use MPCVideoDec (from MPC Standalone Filters - you would have to reqister it first), then use it as your video decoder in conjunction with MPC-HC subtitle engine)

2 download the LAV filter pack and again change the video decoder to use LAV and in LAV Splitter config set 'to use forced subtitles only'

I have updated haali to v1.11.288.0 and MPCVideoDec to v1.5.3.3856_x86.
Then I've disabled the forced subtitles option in MP configuration and reactivated the forced subtitles option again.

The forced subtitles are still not loaded by default

Forced subtitle didn't work with Haali but only with lav filter and/or MPC Matroska filter for mkv
