My TV is NTSC so it only supports 60hz. I notice in the logs it says:
2010-10-10 15:12:46.625000 [Warn.][MPMain(1)]: GraphicContext: NO screen calibration file found for resolution 1280x720!
2010-10-10 15:12:46.625000 [Info.][MPMain(1)]: GraphicContext: MP will render at 50 FPS, use animations = True.

I was wondering if this is a bug and whether or not it should be rendering at 60FPS, considering my refresh rate.

Perhaps complicating things it that I watch PAL freeview, which is 25FPS interlaced, although I don't think that's actually connected to the above log entry.

That's because you haven't configured MP to run faster than 50 fps. The 50 fps concerns the GUI only, so don't worry about it. If you want, you can increase the rendering to 60 fps which might give more fluent animations, text scrolling, etc.

    To configure:
Start MP -> Settings -> Screen setup -> Scroll speed -> Set it to 60 fps.

Thanks, I guessed there might be a setting somewhere but hadn't seen it and didn't have a clue where it might be!
