Do you have two input sources that MediaPortal can currently not handle independently?

In my apartment, there are two cable sources--two phyiscal cables. One is cable source "A" channels and the other is "B".

I have two pvr-250s, and I'd like to be able to assign cableA channels to card1 and cableB channels to card2.

One way to implement this is to tie channels and EPGs to specific cards. (GBPVR does it like this).

I'm not sure how common this situation is, but if I could get both sides working/integrated, the Mrs. would be very happy.

If this is a possible future improvement, how can I help?

Thanks

ps. I've also included a poll.. I'm curious if others have this need as well.

How many peoples has 2 physical cables with different

A good example is digital cable boxes. Lets say I have 2 tuners, but I only have 1 Digital Cable Box. I only need to record/watch one digital
channel at a time, but I'd like to be able to record a regular analog channel at the same time. This is a very common situation in north america as people are starting to make the switch to Digital/HDTV, since buying these boxes can be very expensive.

Well, in the U.S. at least, it is not uncommon. There are two show lineups -- one on Cable A and the other on Cable B. Both Sage and GBPVR accomidate this, so I am having to use them instead. But, MediaPortal kicks butt (style-wise and feature-wise), that I wish I could get it to work in MediaPortal. Oh well, maybe I'll have to learn .Net and c# and do it myself.

The TV section is being re-written and tidied up at the moment.
I would like this too for 1x Sat card and 1x DVB-T card in the future.

Easiest way is to tune and the scanned channels get assigned to card 1 or 2.
At the moment the channels are not seperated or assigned to the cards correctly.

I'm sure it will be done.

This would be handy as well, as I have three different cards in use. VIVO - Xbox in, an analogue card - vcr, paytv, external digital box, and a digital card - dvb-t but not yet in use. Gets a little mixed up working out which channel belongs to what.

Are multiple epg lineups per source slated for the tv 2 update? Is there a way around this limitation so that I can watch all of my channels?
