Freesat channels help (1 Viewer)

I have just installed the latest mediaportal 1.
Everything went fine up until channel searching for freesat channels.
It seems to get most of the channels,i.e it has all the itv's and bb's,E4 etc
but it wont pick up some,like BBC HD and ITV HD (the only 2 ones I want )I am aware ITV HD comes up as an audio channel but even that isnt there.

I checked with dvb viewer and I can recieve both,so I now its a mediaportal problem.Is it possible for someone to send me their channel scan file and then I could just use that?

Or if anyone could help?

(btw I am using the hauppage nova s2 card and I uninstalled the tv server software,if that makes a difference)

I have working BBCHD via the "freesat 28.2E" scan option with a blackgold 3450.
If you can tell me what files you want, I will send them
(sorry I am new to MP only started on it last week)

one thing I found is that it will pick it up on the channel satellite scan, but until you have a valid h.264 codec (I used cyberlink that came free with my bd-rom for the moment it seems to work) you don't get any actual video playback in MP, but you don't get any error either jsut a blank screen.. just in case you are hitting this or probably you really can't find it on a sat scan.

Out of interest what file does hold the scanned channels?

And can anyone provide me with one for 28,2E which has ITV HD

not sure about the file. but I found whilst editing channel list today you can do a manual add

tv server config->tv channels
you get a list of what channels you have. and you can add channels manually with the add button at the bottom
my settings for itvhd from this page are

try adding a channel with that, see what you get. I get the "ITV HD test" picture at the moment

I have now found ITV HD from an auto scan and can see the placeholder.

I think all the scanned channels are stored in the database, not a flat file so is not easy to share.

A note to the OP make sure you have in your LNB setup 28.2E Freesat selected not 28.2E Astra as this was my mistake in not finding ITV HD
