And Gabest can't figure out the difference between 16:9 and 4:3 material which renders it useless to most people ;) Unless you like that strech/squeeze thing

MPV is mainly included for the trouble shooting purposes. Both of those issues are known. But still a codec that is only software based is pretty good for debugging purposes so it is recommended therefore.

I would say those two issues are pretty severe in a codec that is to be used for DVD and TV. I mean...it's unusable for DVD and close to unusable for TV ;)

And still it is a good codec for troubleshooting issues like DXVA causing playback not to work or codec that has some trial period run out.

FFDshow video decoder is blacklisted for MPEG-2 *.TS files in MP.
Unlock SAF and use PDVD9 for MPEG-2.

    sorry i was wrong....
i was using pdvd9 unlocked saf but it was freeze..... with ffdshow i don't have any problem but if i look the filter chain is pdvd9 + ffdshow.... is not a little strange?
    thanks

P.S.: are there any regulation on PDVD9 that i could do?
