Freezing video in MP (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I have a new mediacenter so I reïnstalled everything. I used MP beta 1.1

Now I have a problem with my codes (I think). I installed the SAF codec. I followed the installation guide to the letter. Unfortunatly my video don't show. In WMP 11 the movies shows. But in MP it doesn't.

I don't know what the problem is so I made some printscreens. Hopefully someone can help me because I use MP to watch TV. And there it gives the same problem.

I cant choose for the Powerdvd codec in the first box!

What did I do wrong, and how can I fix it?

MB > Asus M4A785TD-M-Evo
Windows XP sp3
Mediaportal 1.1.0 beta (also tried 1.0.2, same problem)
SAF codec
Signal trough HDMI

Just tried again. I think I found some extra letters to follow... Now I have the PDVD9 codecs. Unfortunatly this doesn't effect my problem.

Could it be something else what I dit wrong?

Make sure you update DirectX and GPU drivers.

Hi Dries,

Having the same problem with the single seat setup of MP. When i'm using the version 1.0.2 there is no problem with videoplayback dvr-ms files or Mpeg.

Tried several codecs with no relief. Is it possible that the new engine TVE3 doesn't play dvr-ms?

Please if you find the solution post it, or try the 1.0.2 version.

I've kind of the same problem with Windows 7 and Mediaportal 1.1
I tried SAF and a couple of other codecs, but everytime when a start a movie or serie in Mediaportal, it freezes :-S

And I have no idea what the problem is. Since every movie and serie runs just fine in WMP and Mediaplayer Classic..

Hi Ult,

Can you specify which SVN you used? Gonna give it a try if not i'll reinstall 1.0.2.

MP Freez when video playback

Hi,

Just solved the problem. I've had installed the Beta without the SVN updates. Seems like the SVN update (latest to my knowledge) saved the freezing part of MP.

I've reinstalled it, update the with the SVN and setup. Now everything seems ok.

If I understand correctly everything is solved in the newest SVN...

Meanwhile I installed Vista en Windows 7 to check if the problem occurs there to. But luckily it's only in Windows XP.
I tried this because I thought that it was my hardware setup which caused the problem...

I'm glad that there is a solution but I think I stick at Windows 7. See what problems occur there...
Maybe when I have the time I will try Windows XP agian...

Everybody thanks for the help so far.

I tested it on the latest SVN with winXP. Unfortunatly it didn't work....

So If someone has a new idea, I'm open for it!
