I saw on LifeHacker this morning that MediaPortal released version 1.0.0.0. I just bought a Pinnacle PCTV HD 800i PCI video card and thought I would try it. When setting up the TV Server I initialized only the analog card support, scanned my cable TV channels, all channels were found, everything appeared to be working under Manual Control. I start up MediaPortal, try to flip over to the TV, and I get the error "Unable to start timeshifting No video/audio detected". I go back to the TV Server setup, try to preview the TV channels and I get the error "Preview failed:NoVideoAudioDetected".

So I'm at a loss as to what is occuring here. My logfiles are attached.

Same for me mate, thought i'd upgrade to 1.0 from a perfect rc3 but all I got was "Unable to start timeshifting No video/audio detected"even though the channels scanned in fine, just rolled back to rc3 and now that throws the same error.

i'am new to tv server and have the same "Unable to start timeshifting No video/audio detected" message.

In my case i filled in a timesync folder that didn't exist at the recording settings configuration screen.
Then i created the folder and the message was gone.

hopes this could help you.

If anyone gets this error, can they change their recording and timeshifting folders for ALL cards to somewhere else, ie C:\Recordings and C:|Timeshifting, why this occurs do not know, have had this happen only once myself and never been able to repeat.

I've made these changes, and now MediaPortal completely freezes when I enter "My TV". I am attaching the watchdog files.

Okay, after a restart and re-creating the directories (MAKE SURE THE DIRECTORIES EXIST!), I get TV.

Until I try to take it full screen. Then I get a crash w/o errors.
