Yo!
I was thinking, there is an old topic about the frontrow-based skin, but knowing that i will be finishing the project, why not start a new thread on it?
I will post screenshots of the material produced so far and there will be links to .psd-files beneath every screenshot. This to keep that open-source-thingy alive
Keep in mind that this is also the first time I used photoshop (or any software of that kind for that matter), so sometimes choices I made in using photoshop-tools will be wrong...
Please feel free to work with me on this project, as long as you post the things you have accomplished in this thread...
My way of work is the following:
* create all required images in photoshop (png)
* design an appropriate UI without messing up the design
* create v0.0.0.0.1 xml-files
* fine-tune the images
* look for usefull plugins integrated in the skin
* adjust xml-files to final version
* build the first version...
I know that ways of work always end up wrong, but this is the general idea...
well lets kickstart:
overlay.psd | the buttons in the top-right corner have an onfocus-image too, its all in the psd.
osd.psd
all of the files need some finetuning, but im currently just trying to get an idea of the total first for myself.
How do you like it so far?

==================== [Edit 1] ====================
==============================================
My muscles are still aching caus of the baording yesterday, but I managed to get some work done today... My photoshop-skills are improving along the way, so thats a good thing too i guess...
I reproduced the tv-screen archeos made:
tv.psd | in the menu_left-group is a button_nofocus, thats the first element in the menu seperately. This for the creation of the png later on. The bar beneath the big square is a progressbar. It's completely filled right now, but if you resize it, you'll notice theres an almost black background behind it, with a light-gray border.

==================== [Edit 2] ====================

I have to put all the files on my server and correct the links, but in the mean-time, look at this OSD by shred444.
