Since I'm rather new to MP, Im not sure (codewise) what is on the realm of doable and not-doable. So maybe you guys could help me out. I would love to make a plugin that would allow some sort of xml markup language to be posted to it, and then rendered on full screen TV as OSD.. Mostly like an informative display capability, of basically any variety the markup would allow..
This would be great in the sense that you could have TV OSD alerting possibilities that originate from other machines, or completely seperate EXEs - with a single XML post.
Eg - Like, lets pretend I have a dedicated VOIP server, with an exposed API.. I could write a "poster" that ran on that, that could send an OSD display based on various VOIP events.
The alerting potential would be unlimited.
What do you think? Is this even a feasible aspect of MP based on your plugin model?
