i have a weird problem (that so far) happens to futurama and mytvseries.

i have the episodes set out in dvd order as shown in this link: https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/List_of_Futurama_episodes#Episode_list however, thetvb.com has the episodes in a different order Futurama: Season 1 Episode List which chops the seasons up differently.

eg, according wiki, it should be s1 = 13 episodes, not 13 as in how thetvdb.com shows it.

looking at the wikipedia link, some episodes are even aired in completely different orders so its not just a simple case of renaming files,

any help please?

You can be sure, that a lot of thought was put into it, especially as that season of futurama was locked by a mod.
But you should try DVD order. As you can see in wikimedia, TV order has indeed only 9 episodes and that why you can choose between Aired Order | DVD Order | Absolute Order

Take a good look at the Wikipedia table, especially the last column.

You will see that on TV, those last 4 episodes were actually Season 2.

They have a firm rule on TheTVdB to go with the original countries method of order at first-time release. So you get these weird situations when there are DVD and Blu-Ray releases afterwards and some editor decides to change things. That's why seasons get locked by admins to prevent one person from changing it depending on their latest DVD/BR order and ruining it for thousands of users who were depending on the previous order.

This does lead to problems, such as a German TV splitting some episodes up in a 2-parter and ruining the episode order, but TheTVdB is trying to compensate for that. But it will be a while before they can adapt to everybody so you get those cases such as this, in which it is easier to just look at the TheTVdB season/episode order and adapt by renaming your files.

You do have Aired and DVD order options to compensate, but since there can be multiple releases (especially when u take other countries into account), you can still end up with a different order, such as your 13 vs 9 episodes in this case.
