I've been using Media Portal for about a month now and absolutely love it. Acually when I say "using" I mean working not stop to get everything setup perfectly, I haven't actually sat down to enjoy it much yet.
Anyways, I've loaded quite a few games up to launch with MyPrograms, mostly just ones that have gamepad support so I don't have to have a kb and mouse. I loaded up "CSI - Hard Evidence" last night, not a great game, but I found that I was only using the mouse, no kb and thought I can totally play this game with my remote control.
I'm using an HP MCE remote (I liked the look of it and the fact that the IR sencor fit snugly into a 3 1/2" bay) and using HIP to control it (thanks so much for the support on this, it was very frustrating to find that there were no XP Pro drivers for this remote, glad you guys have thought of everything). I used HIP to program the controls for CSI - Hard Evidence in and presto, sitting on my couch playing the game with my remote.
i'd like to know what other games people are doing this with, I did an extensive google search last night, it doesn't seem like there are any games designed with remote control support. So lets start a list of games that are easily played like this, I'll start:
