GeForce 6600 GT vs GeForce4 Ti 4200

I currently have the 4200 and can play HD no problems, whether this is due to the RAM I have in the PC along with the 2.6GHZ processor I don't know.

I think the card is faulting on the DVI output causing the text to become jagged in the windows environment so I'm considering changing the card.

How much better will the 6600GT be than the 4200 I currently have?

Both would be AGP models, but my mobo only allows AGP4 speed.

Would gaming speed also be improved and if so how much? Vastly noticeable or not much?

The 6600GT talks about being HD ready due to things like the PureVideo, is this just hype or is it of greater benefit than what I currently have?

Thanks

Have a read of this post,

1 of hundreds on the subject,

Is your motherboard AGP x8, Then it will make a significant difference.
If not then a PCI-E upgrade might be worth doing instead, as motherboards are pretty cheap and you'll have gone someway to be able to update in the future.
