Synopsis::

Hi im using Mediaportal for a long time now and I allways get the latest SVN Builds, but there has been NONE Version until now where the AC3 Sound with TV was working proper and the Tomeshift worked. When I watch a Channel with AC3 Sound either the Sound is stopping every 5-10 sec and then comming up again or the Sound and Lips (of Actors) are not Synchron. The next Problem is Timeshift: After 10-20 minutes it is impossible to watch a movie because there are no more 25 Pics/s. Its even more 1 Picture in 10 seconds. When i turn Timeshift off the Movie runs normal. I just downloaded the latest Drivers for my TV Card and my Grafikcard.

Is there a way to fix these Problems?

    I just tested the scenario you describe and cannot get MediaPortal to fail at all - sorry I couldn't be more helpful, but it looks like there is a problem with your particular setup.... :(

    Have you tried different audio and video decoders (I use the Nvidia ones, and they work fine) ?

    What do you mean and where do i get Nvidia Audio Decoders?
    In MediaPortal Configuration / Television you can select (from a drop-down list) the Video and Audio codecs (decoder) that you wish to use (from those available on your PC).

    You can get the Nvidia PureVideo package from here....

    Can I ask if updating the svn, which you say you have tried several times. ONE update svn ok, putting svn over the top of another svn may cause problems.
    You need to uninstall and then delete the old mediaPortal folder.
    If you do not, you risk screwing up your installation and never being able to put things right.

    Hope this helps
