General Video Playback (1 Viewer)

Hi,
I have the latest vesion 2.2.0 running on an Acer Aspire 5672WLMi

The problem I have is that when I try to playback any of my Xvids they simply do not work. Media Portal just acts as if nothing has happened.

I can play these movies using VLC, Media Player etc without issue

Is there something ovious I am missing?

You need correct codecs to play them. VLC uses own codecs.

DL Xvid codec and all should be fine.

I belive FFDShow is recomended by many. I use K-lite codec pack - but saying that here is like swearing in the church (even do a lot of ppl use these without any trouble)

I assumed that as I had VLC, Media Player etc installed the codecs could be made use of.

I installed the K-Lite Full pack and all is as itshould be
