German 'Die' article removal setting conflict for 'Die Hard' movies (1 Viewer)

This is working really great now, just added 10 movies 8 were film releases 2 tv, Media center master found 8, MyVideo's found 9 , imdb+ 10\10, so full marks.

Is there anyway, and I have looked at removing Die from ordering process, yes I know this is a toughie, but that is configurable in MyVideo, or is this more a MovPics request as hard coded.

main reason all the Die Hard movies, maybe get the producer to rename them

Improving auto-approval rates has always been high on my agenda as well. There is the slight risk of false-positives, but usually due to popularity of movies that works out.

Now for your actual question, I know about the default MovingPictures default German based 'Article Removal' conflict for 'Die' with 'Die Hard' (I'm sure there are others as well, but that is the most famous one). And when I add a seperate article removal system into IMDb+ to workaround the problem of the Roman numeral stripping option, I planned to make it multi-language friendly. Meaning that the secondary language setting will control which 'Article Removal' defaults will be used, so that German 'Die' won't conflict with English titles.

Will be a few weeks though, so for the time being, just edit your MovPic advanced settings.

MovPic config -> About -> Advanced settings -> "MediaPortal GUI" -> "Sorting" -> "Articles for Removal" -> change regular expression to remove the German entries (or others).

For pure English it would be "the|a|an", at least then "Das Boot" will sort under "D" where most English-speaking users will expect the movie to be, but a German user most likely prefers the "Boot, Das" sorting (just guessing).
