I live near Miami, Florida, USA so I get all the locals in HD. I want to ditch my cable company and put in a couple of ATSC tuner cards. I was looking at the AVerMedia A180 and VBox 150 on pcalchemy.com. Although the Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1600 MCE has an NTSC tuner built in as well.

Do I need an NTSC tuner?

Can an ATSC tuner also bring in non-HD (SD) programs that are still on local networks?

Can I mix cards (example HVR-1600 for ATSC/NTSC and A180 or 150 for 2nd ATSC)?

Any experience with these cards under Media Portal?

I assume the cards can all share a common antenna?

I have a remote already, so that is not a concern. I really just want good compatibility.
